省エネ導体の一種であるアルミニウム導体合金強化芯線は、主に超高圧架空送電線の送配電に用いられています。アルミニウム合金芯線は、送電電力を向上させ、エネルギー消費を節約します。同じ外径条件では、鋼芯アルミ撚線よりも直流抵抗が小さく、負荷を10%~25%増加させることができ、線路損失を効果的に低減します。さらに、アルミニウム合金芯アルミ撚線は、設置・施工が容易なだけでなく、ヒステリシス損失や渦電流損失がなく、省エネ・環境保護効果が顕著で、耐腐食性も備えています。
